Safe Use of an AED (Defibrillator) Training in Manchester
Public access defibrillators are becoming more popular in our Towns, Villages, local Schools and public buildings. This AED (defibrillator) training course is for anyone who would like to learn basic life-saving skills and have knowledge of how to use a defibrillator should the need arise. This training is also suitable to give additional first aid cover at a basic level, for example LTO’s in a school or where you as an employer in Greater Manchester want to give added value to your staff.
As First Aiders may have to perform CPR, learners must be physically capable of getting to the floor.
Training is delivered in a practical way, encouraging participation and ensuring new skills and knowledge are retained. Trainers delivering this qualification hold the required teaching qualifications, First Aid qualifications and are experienced in their field.

Assessment is by practical observation.
Certification
A training provider certificate is awarded on successful completion of training and certificates are valid for one year.
Accredited Training
We also offer QNUK Level 3 Award in Responding to Incidents with an AED (RQF) . This course is 3 guided learning hours covering the following learning outcomes:
- Assessing an incident
- Responding to an unresponsive casualty who is not breathing normally
- Responding to an unresponsive casualty who is breathing normally
- Recovery position
- Provide first aid for a choking casualty
- Safe use and maintenance of an AED
Assessment is through practical observation and a multiple choice question paper. A QNUK accredited certificate is awarded on successful completion.

Our Risk Assessment for New and Expectant Mothers training is a half day course intended for all risk assessors in your business or those who manage people.
The Health and Safety Executive (HSE) require specific risk assessments that fulfil requirements to protect the health and safety of new and expectant mothers within the workplace.
This risk assessment course provides an understanding of legal requirements under the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations in terms of assessing risk, along with specific risks, welfare provisions and requirements for breast feeding.
As an employer in Greater Manchester this course supports your compliance in providing information and training to employees with responsibility for carrying out risk assessments in your business.

Your course is delivered in an interactive way with group work and discussion. Specific risks within your industry (as applicable) are included in delivery.
