Display Screen Equipment (DSE) Assessor Training
The course covers the requirements under the Display Screen Equipment Regulations. Training can be delivered on site in Greater Manchester including Stockport, Ashton under Lyne
Now with many staff working from home, there’s an even greater need to make sure that anyone carrying out Workstation assessments fully understands the process, how long term problems may occur and the requirements for reasonable adjustments.
Our DSE Assessment Training is a half day course for staff responsible for carrying out and following up the assessment process. Whether this is in the workplace, or someone needing support at home.
The course covers the requirements under the Display Screen Equipment Regulations and associated guidance. This course supports your compliance in providing health and safety information and training to your employees.
‘Employers must give you information about the risks in your workplace and how you are protected, also instruct and train you on how to deal with the risks.’ (HSE Guidance – accessed June 2016)
The focus of the course is developing skills to enable a thorough assessment of the risks in a practical way and being able to identify effective preventative measures. The aim is to promote safe working in the use of computers and other devices. A Display Screen Equipment risk assessment exercise is part of the training; and your DSE Assessment forms can be used on the training if required.
The course is delivered in an interactive way with group work and discussion.
Course content includes:
- Display Screen Equipment Regulations
- What are common hazards with DSE
- Acute and Chronic effects
- Prevention and control measures; and
- Practical Assessment Exercise
Our Display Screen Equipment Assessor training can be delivered on site in Greater Manchester including Stockport, Ashton, Rochdale and throughout the North West.
Where staff are being requested to work from home, the the DSE Regulations apply and Employers have a duty of care to ensure workers are able to work comfortably with the right equipment in place.
