Some great news that has been long awaited..

Children are to be taught first aid skills in school from 2020.  The Government have announced that first aid will form part of the national curriculum in state funded schools.

For younger children information will cover very basic skills and include head injuries.  By secondary school, pupils will learn CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation) skills and also how to use an AED unit (automated external defibrillator).

This is fantastic news !!
